The first float, which is in the foreground of the image, has megaphones and American flags on it. The second float, in the background of the image, has a large sun on top of it. The balcony is decorated with flags, including an American flag in the middle, and there is a large banner that reads "Welcome to Lung Kong Ten Yee Society." There is also a large flag on top of the building and a sign over the front door that reads "Welcome." The building was located at 425 1/2 North Los Angeles Street. On the left side of the picture, the edge of the Garnier building is visible. In front of the Lung Kong Tin Yee building, several men are carrying a ladder. There is a one-story building on the right side of the photograph with a striped awning. There are parked and driving cars in the foreground of the image.

    A woman stands on a stage in front of a microphone. There is an ensemble behind her, which includes musicians playing violins and guitars. The stage is set up in front of the restaurant Far Low Tuey which was located at 442 Gin Ling Way in New Chinatown. The restaurant Forbidden Palace (located at 449 Gin Ling Way) can be seen lit up in the background. Spectators stand in front of and beside the stage, watching the performance. A Republic of China flag hangs behind the woman to her right and an American flag hangs to her left. This performance was part of the entertainment for the Moon Festival put on by United China Relief between August 7-9, 1941.
