- Philip Fritz, Sr. (1844-1932) sitting on the front porch of 415 Bernard Street, Los Angeles, CA. He is wearing a hat and suit and looking at the camera. The entire front of the house is visible and there is foliage and a fence in front of the house. Philip Fritz, Sr., originally from Alsace, immigrated to America in 1873 and worked as a carpenter and then later for the Southern Pacific Railroad in the Buildings and Bridges department. His wife Louise Schaffner and children Philip W. Fritz, George C. Fritz, and Fred Fritz, joined him in the US in 1884. He built the house at 415 Bernard St. in 1888.
