Description: An interior shot of Sun Wing Wo Co grocery store in the Garnier Building. William Lew's father, Lew Sing Jow, is sitting third from the right, amongst his cousins. They are all wearing formal Chinese clothing for New Year's. There are large banners hung around the store and shelves holding bottles on the right side of the image. At this time, the store sold Chinese goods, wine, books for bookkeeping, preserved ginger, and firecrackers. The store was forced to relocate in 1948 due to the construction of the Hollywood/Santa Ana Freeway (US Route 101).
