The stage is set up in front of the restaurant Far Low Tuey which was located at 442 Gin Ling Way in New Chinatown. A Republic of China flag hangs behind the woman to her right and an American flag hangs to her left. This performance was part of the entertainment for the Moon Festival put on by United China Relief between August 7-9, 1941. -

Parade floats, Moon Festival
Two parade floats mounted on truck beds. The parade floats are large boxes with rectangular openings cut out on all four sides and they are decorated with flowers and lanterns. The first float, which is in the foreground of the image, has megaphones and American flags on it. The second float, in the background of the image, has a large sun on top of it. Several children are riding inside the floats and an adult is standing on the running board of the truck pulling the first float. A man in a suit is walking alongside the first float. There are spectators visible in the background on the right side of the image and lanterns hanging above the second float. These floats are part of the 1941 Moon Festival parades put on by United China Relief between August 7-9.
